Effect of TauCl on the viability of RA FLSs. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) fibroblast-like
synoviocytes (FLSs) from two RA patients were treated with taurine chloramine (TauCl)
30 min before the stimulation with IL-1β (10 ng/ml), and were incubated for 24 hours
(as described in Materials and methods). Cell activity was then determined by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium
bromide (MTT) assay, and is expressed as the mean ± standard deviation of three separate
experiments. Three independent experiments were performed with cells from two patients.
