Responder rates. The overall response of a patient was determined using the four domains: dryness of the eyes (Shirmer-I test), dryness of the mouth (unstimulated whole salivary flow), fatigue (visual analogue scale), and laboratory (erythrocyte sedimentation rate and/or immunoglobulin G). A patient who achieved at least 20% improvement in at least two domains is considered a responder.
