Resolution: standard / high Figure 8.
Reduced IL-1β and monocyte chemotactic protein (MCP)-1 levels in arthritic joints
of mice lacking poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP)-1. Levels of IL-1β, tumor necrosis
factor (TNF)-α, IL-6 and MCP-1 were measured by ELISA in extracts from arthritic knee
joints of mice at day 7 after induction of collagen antibody-induced arthritis. Values
are expressed as mean ± standard error of the mean of six to nine mice per group.
Differences between parp-1+ and parp-1o/o mice were statistically significant for IL-1β (asterisk indicates p = 0.03) and MCP-1 (asterisk indicates p = 0.05) by Mann-Whitney U test.
