Induction of granzyme B expression in T-cell receptor/CD28-stimulated human regulatory T cells is suppressed by inhibitors of the PI3K-mTOR pathway

Olga V Efimova, Todd W Kelley BMC Immunology 2009, 10:59 (22 November 2009)

Inhibiting the mTOR and PI3K pathways does not affect the proliferation of regulatory T cells activated via TCR/CD28, but does prevent the induction of Granzyme B, a molecule involved in the cytotoxic immunosuppression mediated by these cells.
