Lack of correlation between minor allele frequencies (MAFs) of non-HLA rheumatoid
arthritis susceptibility single-nucleotide polymorphisms in Caucasians (UK) and Africans. The MAF of each polymorphism presented in Table 2 in the UK (MAF_UK) is compared
with the frequency of the same allele in Africa (MAF_Africa). 'Minor' refers to a
frequency of lower than 50% in the UK. Single-nucleotide polymorphisms with an 'MAF_Africa'
of greater than 50% are minor alleles in the UK but major alleles in Africa.
