Concentration of prostanoid species in synovial fluid over the course of lipopolysaccharide-induced
synovitis. Horses were treated with a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) (meloxicam,
0.6 mg/kg once a day by mouth; n = 6) or placebo (n = 6) starting at 2 hours after lipopolysaccharide injection for a total of seven treatments.
