Transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGFβ1) enhances TGFβ receptors mRNA turnover. Subconfluent human articular chondrocytes (HAC) were incubated with DMEM + 2% FCS
for 24 hours. Thereafter, transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGFβ1) or vehicle were
added in the presence of actinomycin D (10 μg/ml). Cells were then harvested at the
indicated times for RT-PCR.
