Dose-response effect of NT and CT telopeptides. Constructs were cultured with NT (0.05 to 50 μM) or CT (0.05 to 50 μM) peptides under free-swelling conditions in the presence or absence of 1 mM 1400 W for 48 hours: (a) NO release and (b) sGAG content (n = 6). A scrambled form of the NT (SN) and CT (SC) peptide were used as negative controls (both at 50 μM). An NH₂-FN-f (1 μM) was used as a positive control.
