Lipocalin-type prostaglandin D synthase (L-PGDS) and hematopoietic-type PGDS (H-PGDS) mRNA levels in healthy and osteoarthritis (OA) human cartilage. RNA was extracted from healthy (n = 9) and OA (n = 9) cartilage, reverse-transcribed into cDNA, and processed for real-time polymerase chain reaction. The threshold cycle values were converted to the number of molecules, as described in Materials and methods.
