Serum OPG as a function of age in the pooled male and female groups. Fasting blood
was taken at the time of operation for total hip replacement and serum osteoprotegerin
(OPG) levels were determined in the men and women using ELISA and plotted as a function
of age. Regression analysis indicated a positive correlation between serum OPG and
age (r = 0.400, P = 0.01).
